FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHY – DAVID STILL

David Still is a London based professional photographer who was born in New Zealand. Before moving to London his life was governed by the rhythm and temper of the ocean as he spent a lot of his time on the sea and as a scuba diver, also under it.

Summers meant the smell of the beach, rippling sails, the taste of sea salt, growling outboard motors and bare feet in hot sand. The sunrise, sunsets and beautiful scenery were like a natural theatre. This gave him a constant source of inspiration for photography, a passion that began while he was still at school.

This love of photography eventually lead to him to have two professional studios in the CBD, working for top advertising agencies and international companies such as FCB, Saatchi and Saatchi, JWT, Yves St Laurent, Schwarzkopf, Honda, Ford, Nestle and many more.

Having fallen in love with the ever changing sheer beauty of the landscape he has been obsessed with catching images that can be gone as quick as a heart beat if the elements conspire to change the rays of light. He appreciates that every minute of every day offers a unique depiction of the same location.
